Distance of Thought is a progressive metal band from Houston, Texas, known for combining powerful melodies, intricate musicianship, and cinematic storytelling. Drawing inspiration from bands such as Fates Warning, Savatage, Dream Theater, the group creates music that bridges technical prowess with emotional impact.
Founded by guitarist Dale Rasco, singer Drew Brown and keyboardist Jeff Quiggle, Distance of Thought released their debut album, “Edge of Forever”, in late 2023, which was warmly welcomed into the prog metal underground scene.
Following a few changes to the line-up, the band is currently working on a new concept album — a multi-part science fiction saga — which is set to be released through Astral Haven Records.
