JON BARBER
Jon started playing drums in 1994 at age 6 after seeing a Phil Collins concert on TV and was hooked. He graduated college with a minor in music with a focus on percussion performance in 2013. Since then, Jon has played in a variety of settings ranging from musical theater, jazz, corporate party bands, concert bands, and more. His biggest drumming influences are Neil Peart (Rush), Bill Bruford (King Crimson), Vinnie Colaiuta (Frank Zappa), Phil Collins (Genesis), Stuart Copeland (The Police), and Barriemore Barlow (Jethro Tull). Aside from Distance of Thought, Jon can also be seen playing with Moving Pictures: A Tribute to Rush and Full Moon Fever: A Tribute to Tom Petty.
